Hi Folks,
Have you been wondering were all this craziness is going?
High unemployment, foreclosures, rising food prices, stock market quakes, earthquakes, etc etc etc......You get the picture. Not the secure world that we grew up in is it. Everything seems to be spinning out of control. Well, friends take a deep breath and sit down and let us reason together. It is time to get serious about taking care of ourselves and those who matter to us.
So what can we do about the future when we are stretched to the max already? Necessity is the Mother of Invention. Let's relax and start to invent our way out of this mess.
We are in the last part of January and were I live the snow is flying and days are short but in just about 6 weeks give or take a week or two it will be time to start a garden either indoors or of outdoors, depending on where you live.
We need to put our seed orders in now. Try to buy Heirloom seeds not the genetically modified ones that are being manipulated by the huge corporate farms. If you have ever driven through Ohio farm land you may have seen the signs in the fields indicating modified seeds were being grown. We have no idea what effect this will have on our growing children. Japan is waiting to see what the effects on the health of American children will be before they allow genetically modified foods to be grown and consumed in their country. Our children are the lab rats.
Simply put seed catalog in your search bar and plenty of companies will pop up. I like to use the online catalogs but getting them in the mail is great. There is nothing like sitting down on a cold winters day and reading the seed catalog.
Next time we will talk about SQUARE FOOT GARDENING.
Bye for now.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him.
